International Heart Hub (iHHub) Inaugural Congress

CEO, Dr Linda Worrall-Carter was one of 20 global members of International Heart Hub, iHHub invited to attend the Inaugural Congress in Madrid, Spain on 25-27 October 2017.

iHHub is the world’s first non-profit organization of patient advocacy groups that promotes and supports awareness of heart disease, and was created initially as an alliance of patient organisations from North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Africa and works from the centre of the global heart disease conversation to amplify the patient voice. It now has over 45 members from around the world.

At the Inaugural Congress, there were some key presentations by Prof. Manuel Martínez-Selles, Cardiologist from the Gregorio Maranon Hospital in Madrid and Dr. Patrice Lindsay, World Stroke Organization, as well as Ms Maite San Saturnino, President, Corazonalianza, Corazon Sin Fronteras. In addition, there were some strategic sessions around Global Advocacy, how there can be a strengthening between the Heart/iHHub Communities as well as some discussion around Resources and Tools.
