Finding the right heart specialist can be difficult and many women told us they wanted to see a female cardiologist but struggled to find one. This is not surprising when you consider that only 15% of cardiologists are women. It was even more difficult for women in rural and remote areas, where access to care can sometimes be limited.
Prof. Worrall-Carter, our Founder was being personally contacted by countless women asking for recommendations, which confirmed the urgent need for a central, trusted resource.
That is why Her Heart created Find a Female Cardiologist – the first online directory of its kind in Australia. This free, easy-to-use tool allows women to search by location and specialty, helping them find a cardiologist by location and area of expertise and who understands their needs.
