Her Heart Conference 2026

Monday, 12 October 2026

Swissotel Sydney

8AM – 5PM

We’re thrilled to announce the return of the Her Heart Conference, taking place this year on Monday, 12 October 2026, at the iconic Swissotel Sydney.

This year’s theme, Improving Women’s Heart Health – A Fairer, Inclusive, and Accessible System, brings together national and international leaders to spotlight the latest research, strategies, and innovations shaping the future of women’s cardiovascular care.

Who we are

Her Heart exists to improve the heart health of Australian women.

With almost one woman dying every hour, heart disease remains the leading cause of illness and death among Australian women.

And with heart disease costing the Australian health system around $14.3 billion a year, it’s time to take a stand and save more lives.

What we do

Awareness: Raising awareness of heart disease in women of all ages.

Education: Educating and supporting health professionals, while also educating women, about the prevalence, risk factors and symptoms of heart disease in women.

Research: Completing further research around attitudes, behaviours and uptake on prevention.

Advocacy: National action on women and heart disease, advocacy and policy.

Feedback from last year's conference

“It was a fantastic experience to network and learn about other research in the area and listen to the lived experience of women with heart disease.”

“I’m still on a high from been in the room, feeling the passion and love, the knowledge and new insights that were shared was so powerful and inspiring. To be there and hear you telling your story, as a representative of all of our story’s, with these conditions, to a room full of amazing professionals and hear the story’s of the other patients, was an honour.”

“As a non-medical professional I thought it might be over my head, but it was so interesting, entertaining and relatable with lots of information that I had never come across before.”

“There was a deep sense of camaraderie — a room filled with mutual respect and genuine support for the work being done in this space. From recognising sex-specific differences in CVD risk factors and presentation, to bridging the gender gap in post-ACS care, and addressing disparities in cardiovascular research including leveraging digital technology to improve women’s access to care — it’s clear we’re stronger when we work together.”

“A fantastic and engaging conference – I feel reenergised in providing support and education to hopefully make an impact in women’s heart health.”

“I came away with more hope than I have felt in a very long time.”
