John Beltrame is the Michell Professor of Medicine at Adelaide University, and a
senior consultant cardiologist at The Queen Elizabeth and Royal Adelaide Hospitals.
His clinical and research focus is on coronary artery spasm and microvascular
dysfunction, which predominantly afflict women. Using patient-centered clinical
approaches, he has characterised several of these disorders. He has promoted
collaboration in this field by co-founding both the Coronary Vasomotor Disorders
International Study Group (COVADIS) and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New
Zealand (CSANZ) Coronary Vasomotor Dysfunction Working Group.
