Dr Talia Avrahamzon is a health policy and research leader with expertise in women’s health, research equity and systemic reform. As Head of Policy, Projects and Advocacy at Research Australia, she works across government, research, healthcare, industry and the community to advance a more equitable and effective health and medical research system. Talia has led national work on women’s health research, including Research Australia’s Shaping the Future of Australian Women’s Health Research Roadmap, and advocates for greater consideration of sex, gender and diversity across research priority setting, funding, participation and translation. Her academic and professional background spans public policy, research and social equity, with particular expertise in intersectionality and addressing structural barriers experienced by underrepresented populations.
